WHAT IS GEC?
GEC teaches young girls how to change the world through STEM fields by providing hands-on experiences to do so.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We reach out to Title I schools to expose young girls to opportunities in engineering fields while creating a tangible product that can be donated to various programs around the world. For example, we have made ECG circuit boards that are used in EKG (heart rate monitors) overseas to train medical volunteers. We also make games that can be donated to the Ronald McDonald house and Levine Children's Hospital.
WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
Our goal is to make girls aware of the need for females in the engineering fields, to teach and spark interest about engineering fields, and create projects that benefit the community.
